The Bush Creek Crib is situated up above the Arrow River, not far west of the Arrowtown township. The site was surrounded by classic, traditional housing, and historic stone walls. The traditional design opens up to captivate the north view down Arrow River, capturing views, sun and the rolling hills beyond.
The building site provided a spectacular, but exposed location to place a dwelling, tightly enclosed by residences on all sides. However, the design responds to this through material, form and ensuring the residence remains low, creating privacy, whilst taking in all other amenities.
