The architectural response takes the form of a rotated structure oriented towards The Peninsula on Lake Wanaka. This form folds and wraps around a central courtyard, enabling the Kitchen, Dining, and Living spaces — along with two front-positioned Master Bedroom suites — to fully engage with the lake and mountain vistas.

The entry is intentionally understated. Clad in robust stone and timber, the garage conceals the home’s soaring 3.0-metre ceilings and the expansive views beyond. Upon entering, glimpses of the landscape begin to emerge, enhanced by a palette of interior materials — glass, timber, and stone — that blur the line between inside and out.
